A new version of the template for the information sheet for research participants (IRP, in Dutch: IVO) is now available. This version 1.1, dated 14 August 2026, can now be downloaded from the CCMO website.

In response to comments and questions from users, several amendments have been made.  Some passages have been clarified, and a few missing sections that belong in the IVO have been added. QR codes have also been included, linking to the general information on the website, that forms part of the IVO. An overview of all changes has been added to the document.

Comments on IRP still welcome

These amendments were considered so important that they could not wait until the evaluation of the IRP, which is scheduled for the end of this year.
Suggestions for additions and improvements to the IRP can still be submitted via the email address ccmo@ccmo.nl. In November and December, these will be evaluated and incorporated into version 2.0.
The FAQ page on using the IVO shows which issues have already been raised and answered.

No need to convert to new version

Information sheets drafted based on IRP version 1.0 do not need to be converted to version 1.1.

First IRP’s submitted

The IRP was published at the end of May. The first information letters for participants have now been submitted to various MRECs. Experiences with the information letter are being shared and evaluated among the MRECs.

Online training sessions for sponsors and researchers

In the coming months, there will be several more online training sessions on how to use the IVO. For sponsors and researchers, these sessions will be held on 29 September, 6 October, and 8 October, from 12:00 to 13:00 each day. The session on 8 October will be conducted in English. You can register using this registration form.
