Evaluation procedure VGO local feasibility started
Since December 1, 2020, sponsors can choose whether to use the Site Suitability Declaration (Verklaring Geschiktheid Onderzoeksinstelling, VGO) or the current Research Declaration for the assessment of the suitability of the participating centers. The Dutch Clinical Research Foundation (DCRF) recently started the evaluation of this new procedure. You can share your experiences here until Friday, April 2 at the latest.
The results of this evaluation will be awaited before a decision is made to make the use of the VGO mandatory. This means that the revision of the CCMO External Review Directive (RET) has been postponed to a later date in 2021. Voluntary use of the VGO remains possible and is strongly recommended in preparation for the new RET.
