Informed Consent Form template updated in line with GDPR
The template for the Informed Consent Form has been updated. The immediate cause for this is the amendment of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which will replace the current Personal Data Protection Act on 25 May 2018. The model is available in Dutch and English.
The most important changes:
- Section 10 on the use and storage of data collected for the study has been updated in line with the GDPR. See also the explanation (only in Dutch).
- The maximum number of words has been changed to 4,000-5,000 words because the original maximum number was not feasible.
- Some corrections in the text.
To speed up the reviewing process, researchers are strongly advised to use the template when submitting new research files. The use of the text of paragraph 10 of the template is mandatory.
