Starting date

You are required to inform the review committee (MREC or CCMO) of the actual starting date of the study by submitting a Status Progress in the Research Portal. This is the date on which the first research participant signs the informed consent form. It is, however, possible to indicate a different starting date in your research protocol.

The study must commence within the validity period of the positive decision. The validity period is stated in the decision letter of the review committee. If the validity of the decision is expiring, you are required to submit an Other notification -  Request to extend decision through the Research Portal. You must do so  before the validity period has expired.
