WHO approval

CCMO is working on a national public register which will incorporate the CCMO register and the former Dutch Trial Register (NTR). As soon as this new register is realised, CCMO will apply to the World Health Organisation (WHO) for its approval. Until then you need to register your trial in a WHO-approved register, such as ClinicalTrials.gov. The full list of approved registries can be found at Primary registries in the WHO registry network.

The data as registered in the NTR in the past are automatically included in the ICTRP register and can be consulted on the ICTRP Search Portal. The researcher thus continues to meet the requirement of prospective registration as required by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) for publication in scientific journals. Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to adjust the data. If data modification is still necessary, the trial will have to be re-registered in another approved register. A reference to the trail ID of NTR must be included.
